Dunbia is a multinational food company specialising in the production of quality beef pork and lamb products. Dunbia (Llanybydder) has recently undergone a new development with assistance from Welsh Assembly Government and is a world class lamb processing plant in West Wales. Dunbia (Felin Fach) has recently opened a large beef processing plant.

Dunbia offer a selection of accredited courses including:

  • Beef stock selection
  • Lamb stock selection
  • Liver Fluke

Each of these courses have been designed to be practical for farmers, they are all set on farm or at a meat processing plant, as everybody is more comfortable in these surroundings.

The partners have extensive experience in food production, management and technology gained with some of the UKs leading companies.
We started FBA in 2008 and, although based in North Wales, we work with a variety of food companies from small niche producers to international organisations right across the UK.
We also work with a number of the UK’s major retailers on technical audits of their suppliers.

Glyndwr UniversityGlyndwr
Glyndwr University is a North-Wales based British University with campuses in Wrexham, Northop, St. Asaph and London. Formerly known as the North East Wales Institute of Education (NEWI), full university status was granted in 2008 at which point the name ‘Glyndwr’ was adopted, to reflect the spirit of the Welsh prince Owain Glyndwr, who first suggested the establishment of universities in Wales as early as the 15th century.
Now Glyndwr University has more than 9,000 students with a diverse student body. With a strong emphasis on providing qualifications which are relevant to industry, Glyndwr University has close links with major regional and local employers.
As a Lantra-approved training provider, Glyndwr University is able to offer funded leadership and management training programmes to companies in the landbsed sector in Wales. Funding of between 50-70% is available depending on the size of your business and eligibility criteria.

As part of the programme, Glyndwr University is able to offer the following Lantra qualifications:
